“Honesty” is a song by Billy Joel released in 1979 as the third single from his album 52nd Street.
The song reached #24 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, becoming the album’s third consecutive top 40 hit.
Beyoncé Knowles covered the song in 2008. It appears on the compilation album, Love Destiny and on the Platinum Edition of her album, I Am… Sasha Fierce.
The band Rush alludes to this song on their track The Spirit of Radio. Vocalist Geddy Lee sings the lyric “Of your honesty, yeah your honesty” in a New York accent, referencing Joel’s strong New York roots.
